About Daniel Marino

I have been designing websites since the mid 90’s when using tables for layout and font tags for styling text was cool. Since then, I have learned more sophisticated methods. After studying Graphic Design and arming myself with a Bachelors in Communication from Fitchburg State College, I have worked for several companies with a large web presence such as PC Connection and Dynamic Network Services Inc. In 2008, I won an American Inhouse Design Award from Graphic Design USA.

Current employment

At the end of 2007, I started doing freelance work for Cramer Development under the Markup Factory platform. I became a full-time employee for Cramer Development in March 2009 as a Front-end Developer.

In my free time

After a hard day’s work of surfing the interwebz, I enjoy relaxing with my wife and two children. I like to listen to some really loud and obnoxious music — usually by myself because nobody else likes it. I also enjoy reading and drumming.

About this site

This site is using HTML 5 for markup, the 960 Grid System CSS Framework, jQuery for some special effects, and some custom PHP for Twitter, Readernaut and Delicious updates. Props goes to Paul Robert Lloyd for his Social Media Icons, as I think they are snazzy. This site is hosted on a DynDNS Spring Server VPS and I mange content using Textpattern.
