Design Shizzle

I’ve been really busy at work, and haven’t had a lot of time to write a decent blog post. Things don’t show any sign of slowing down too soon, so here are some cool design links for you to check out.

100 Web Apps for Today’s Freelancer Running a business for yourself means you have to be inventive and always on the lookout for a new and better way to get things done. I don’t think you’d use all 100 of them, but there might be two or three worth checking out.

Coloured Smoke I’m a sucker for this stuff. These are all photos on Flickr tagged with coloured smoke. Awesome for Photoshop overlays and the such. Also fun just to look at.

Shoebop Font I’m not usually into wacky or hand-drawn fonts. I’m especially not into buying them when you can pretty much do your own hand-drawn font, but this one is pretty cool looking. I could see myself using this in the future.

70 Expert Ideas For Better CSS Coding CSS isn’t always easy to deal with. An easy way to minimize the complexity of the code is as useful as not-so-well-known CSS attributes and properties you can use to create a semantically correct markup.

Hi there, I am sitting here doing a church logo for friends that left South Africa to start a church in Flagler Beach USA. Browsing logopond for a random kick to the head I saw your art and took a look at your profile. Comes through clearly that you love God! Go for it and use your talent to make the gospel all things to all men that you may win them to Christ. I agree with the deadlines and late nights but hey, we never get to wear a tie and we have an all day tea time and go to the office in our favourite slippers when its cold! Maybe I’ll get brave and display my logo on logopond (as yet still in the minds eye) when it lands. Never really posted anything before. Look after yourself and determine to finish and finish strong. A brother over in Africa :-)
