Welcome to I am Daniel Marino (dot com)

Welcome to my new site. There were two or three of you out there that used to visit my previous site: sanctifiedesign.com. I also ran a blog there for just about a year named: Saved By Grace. I got tired of blogging and operating under the name Sanctified Design so I pulled the plug – to say the least.

So now what am I doing blogging again, you ask? Well, I’m taking a different approach this time around and keeping things simple. Meaning I’m not going to kill myself looking for something to talk about every day. Actually, I’d love to keep this blog focused on more design focused topics, but I don’t necessarily want to even say what this blog will or won’t entail, just to keep my options open.

A little bit about me. I am Daniel Marino (I bet you couldn’t figure that one out). I’ve been a web designer at PC Connection since the Winter of 2005. I love learning about new (and old) technologies and practices on the web, such as Web Standards, XHTML, CSS, PHP, etc… I like to think I’m good at what I do, but there’s always a lot of room for improvement.

This site is set up a little differently from my last one. This time around I set things up more like a web portal, with a focus on my portfolio. Yes, this site is primarily to advertise what I’m capable of, and will hopefully draw some suckers… I mean, prospective clients in for business, but at the same time, talk about what I’m learning and what’s going on in my life.

In the past, I’ve been known to change my site design as I grew tired of it (which was about every month). I can assure you that I plan to keep this design out there for a while while making little tweaks here and there as I grow tired of things.

Enjoy the new site. Things are still under heavy construction, so please don’t get too mad if something goes wrong in the process of surfing around here.
